The Catholic Diocese of Goaso announces the appointment of Rev. Fr. Luke Patrick Effah-Gyau as the Diocesan Chaplain for the Laity Council.The appointment was made by the Bishop of Goaso, Most. Rev. Peter Kwaku Atuahene, following the absence of Fr. Bernard Obeng Gyamfi, which rendered the office vacant.
Having discerned in Fr. Effah-Gyau the qualities prescribed by Canon Law—sound doctrine, uprightness of character, and zeal for souls—the Bishop has entrusted him with this responsibility.
The appointment takes effect from 19th February 2026 and is for an indeterminate period.
Fr. Luke Patrick Effah-Gyau will continue in his current roles as Parish Priest of St. Peter Parish, Wioso, and Diocesan Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS).
