Tepa, Ahafo Ano North – July 13, 2025
In a heartwarming gesture of generosity and commitment to education, Rev. Msgr. Dominic Kwame Asiedu Fosu, a Catholic priest and native
of Tepa, has commissioned and dedicated a fully furnished ultra-modern ICT and library complex for theTepa R/C Cluster of Schools.
Motivated by personal experiences of hardship in school—where learning was hindered by outdated textbooks, lack of computers, and inadequate library facilities—Msgr. Dominic set out to make a meaningful impact in the lives of today’s students. With the immense support of his parishioners at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Burlington, Kentucky, USA, he mobilized the resources needed to bring this vision to life.
The commissioning and dedication ceremony was jointly performed by Msgr. Dominic Asiedu Fosu and Most Rev. John C. Iffert, Bishop of Covington, Kentucky, USA. The event drew a large gathering of excited community members, including parishioners, students, teachers, clergy, and traditional leaders, all eager to witness the inauguration of this transformative facility.
The occasion was graced by several dignitaries whose presence underscored the significance of the event. Among them were Mrs. Grace Oppong Agyapong, the Municipal Education Director for Ahafo Ano North; Hon. Nana Agyemang Prempeh Eric, Member of Parliament for the constituency; and Mr. Isaac Frimpong, who represented the Municipal Chief Executive. Also in full attendance were Nananom, the traditional authorities of the land, whose support and blessing added great value to the celebration.
The new complex, equipped with modern computers, internet access, and a well-stocked library, is expected to significantly improve digital literacy and academic performance among students. It opens up new opportunities for research, self-learning, and access to global educational content.
The Church and the school community expressed profound gratitude to all the sponsors whose generous contributions made the project possible. Their support, according to school authorities, will leave a lasting legacy and set a powerful example of community upliftment through education.

Speaking at the event, Msgr. Dominic noted that the project was not only a response to a personal conviction but also an expression of faith in the power of education to transform lives and communities. “I am a product of this land. What I have been able to achieve is partly because others helped me along the way. This is my way of giving back—and I hope it inspires others to do same,” he stated.
His gesture has already begun inspiring hope among students, teachers, and residents alike. Many described the facility as a dream come true and a turning point in the educational fortunes of the area.
This initiative stands as a testament to the impact one visionary and compassionate individual can make when supported by a community of believers. It also serves as a call to others—especially former students and professionals—to return and invest in their roots.
